The KosovaPress News Agency has played an exceptionally important and positive role throughout its entire existence, says Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the founding of KosovaPress.
In an exclusive interview for KosovaPress, Kurti recalls very clearly the harsh January of 1999, when KosovaPress and Radio Kosova e Lirë began reporting directly from the war zones, from areas where the battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army were taking place, and where the civilian population was being protected.
“Happy anniversary to KosovaPress. I remember that extremely cold January of 1999, when our hearts were warmed because KosovaPress and Radio Kosova e Lirë started reporting directly from the war zones, from areas where the battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army were taking place, and where civilians were being protected. I believe it was a January like no other, if I am not mistaken, with temperatures of minus 17 degrees Celsius. KosovaPress has played an exceptionally important and positive role throughout this entire period of its existence. Therefore, in addition to wishing everyone a Happy New Year, I also wish you a happy 27th anniversary,” he said.
Today, KosovaPress News Agency celebrates the 27th anniversary of its founding and the start of its operations. This milestone finds the agency in new, modern, and functional premises, which meet all the conditions necessary for the operation of a contemporary media outlet.
This development represents an important step forward in KosovaPress’s mission to provide accurate, fast, and objective information, as well as an investment in the quality of journalism and media communication in Kosovo. /KosovaPress/
