IPKO has donated €20,000 in support of the Professional Firefighters Brigade in Prishtina as part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening public safety and improving the working conditions of key emergency institutions.
The Director of the Directorate for Security and Emergency Management in the Municipality of Prishtina, Lulzim Fushtica, said the donation to the Professional Firefighters Brigade is extremely valuable and directly contributes to increasing safety in the capital.
“An extremely valuable donation for the city’s Professional Firefighters Brigade. With increased safety in the city and improved capacities not only of firefighters but of all security services in the capital, opportunities for investment also increase, enabling business growth, which is one of the key prerequisites for longer-term and more credible development of the capital. We will stand behind companies operating in Prishtina by providing security,” he said.
Meanwhile, the commander of the Professional Firefighters Brigade in Prishtina, Mal Gashi, said that the donation worth around €20,000 has directly improved working conditions for firefighters.
According to Gashi, better working environments also increase firefighters’ readiness and efficiency in serving citizens.

“A donation worth around €20,000 has directly contributed to improving the conditions of our colleagues in the fire and rescue service. As you know, this service operates 24 hours a day, and we must provide them with as comfortable conditions as possible so they can feel at ease and rest properly, because they also work at night,” he said.
Gashi explained what the IPKO donation specifically includes.
“All seating areas in the on-call day and night rooms have been renovated, a new kitchen has been installed, and the supporting kitchen equipment such as tables and chairs for dining has been provided. The administrative offices where we carry out our daily administrative work have all been arranged. We also have five new computers that have been provided,” he added.
To see the investments from this donation up close, the Professional Firefighters Brigade in Prishtina was also visited by IPKO’s Chief Executive Officer, Andras Palk.
