Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bedri Hamza, stated that PDK does not have a candidate for president.
He made these comments before the start of the PDK Presidency meeting, which was scheduled to begin at 14:00.
When asked whether Justina Pula is a proposed candidate for president from PDK, he denied it.
“No, we have no agreement, we have not proposed anyone because we have not reached that point. We have talked about principles and wanted there to be a president, hoping there will be a president. We previously requested that we agree that the president be chosen and proposed by PDK — a dignified person. This does not necessarily mean someone from within PDK’s structures; it could be someone outside the party structures who has the attributes and qualities required for the presidency,” he said.
He called the names being discussed as potential PDK candidates “speculation.” According to him, the party does not have a candidate for president without a prior agreement.
“We have no candidate; all of these are speculation. PDK does not have a candidate for president without a prior agreement,” he said.
The PDK Parliamentary Group meeting began at 14:00.
