The German Embassy in Kosovo issued a statement on Tuesday about a visit by its head, Ambassador Rainer Rudolph, to the KosovaPress news agency on Monday. The embassy titled the post “Strengthening Independent Journalism.”
“As a key pillar of Kosovo’s media ecosystem, KosovaPress plays a vital role in providing fast, accurate and reliable information to the media and the public,” the German Embassy said in its statement, adding that during the meeting with KosovaPress management, “Ambassador Rudolph emphasized the importance of independent journalism in promoting transparency, accountability and informed public debate.”
“A free and pluralistic media environment is essential for democracy and freedom of expression. By ensuring that citizens have access to reliable information, quality journalism strengthens democratic values and helps build more resilient societies. Supporting independent journalism means investing in the future of democracy,” the statement concluded. /KosovaPress/
