Clark: My heart and soul are with Kosovo

Former NATO Commander-in-Chief, Wesley Clark said that 25 years after NATO’s intervention to end ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, he feels very proud of everything Kosovo has done economically, politically, and steps towards membership in the European Union and NATO.

Clark at the conference for the 25th anniversary of the NATO intervention in Kosovo, with the theme “Democracy, human rights and peace building” organized by the University of Prishtina together with the University of Arkansas, USA, through a video message, said that he hopes that Kosovo will join the EU and NATO.

After 25 years, he feels proud of everything that’s been done in course of all the economic progress, the political progress, it’s independence, it’s working to establish itself as a member of the European Union and a member of NATO, both of which he hopes will happen.

He added that when he sees Kosovo Albanians, he remembers the importance of freedom, courage, determination and the fight for the protection of families and values.

In this conference, the President Vjosa Osmani and the US ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, were present. /A.Shala/
