A clinic in the north has been shut down; the inspectorate found serious deficiencies and risks to patients

The Directorate of the Municipal Inspectorate in North Mitrovica, in cooperation with the Sanitary Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health, has taken action against a licensed private clinic by temporarily shutting it down following a detailed on-site inspection.

During the inspection, around 30 expired medical products were identified and removed, raising serious concerns about patient safety.

Irregularities were also found in the ventilation system, along with discrepancies in the documentation, including the lack of notarization of several important documents, which constitutes a violation of professional and legal standards.

Authorities announced that tomorrow, the Pharmaceutical and Health Inspectorates will also be on-site to dispose of suspicious items and to deepen the investigation into the clinic’s operations.

Meanwhile, regular administrative procedures are underway to impose punitive measures, including the potential suspension of the clinic’s license until all identified deficiencies are corrected.

Local authorities emphasized that such actions are necessary to ensure safety and quality standards in the healthcare services provided to citizens.
