Today marks 27 years since the Battle of Llapashtica, a battle in which 10 martyrs from the Llap region fell heroically.
It was December 24, 1998, when the relentless battles began in the Llap Operational Zone, while Llapashtica had been turned into an impregnable stronghold for three consecutive months.
During the Battle of Llapashtica, on December 24, 1998, the following martyrs of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) fell so as to live forever as heroes of the nation: Isa Havolli, Ismet Dërguti, Skender Zenjullahu, Miftar Zenjullahu, Lulzim Jashari, Bajram Murati, Avni Selmani, Fatmir Selmani, Remzi Demolli, and Jetullah Kastrati.
