A year after reaching the Basic Agreement between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels, its implementation continues to be seen as difficult to achieve. Experts of the dialogue process say that this process has entered a new stalemate, while they criticize the mediators for not having a serious approach to the dialogue. According to them, despite the approval of the resolution of the European Parliament, where dynamics and a new approach to dialogue are required, the implementation of the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex is not expected to happen this year, taking into account the elections in the European Union.

The political expert, Dritëro Arifi, tells KosovaPress that the European Union has reached a dead end and does not have a goal to go further in the dialogue. However, he emphasizes that Kosovo must advance in European integration, where the best form is to implement this agreement and break the country's international isolation.

The political analyst, Arbnor Sadiku, is skeptical about the implementation of the Brussels and Ohrid agreements, who says that the same will be implemented only after the elections in the EU, also after the elections in Kosovo, according to him.

On the other hand, the political expert, Arifi considers that the end of March is an opportunity to have something concrete in the dialogue. As he says, if until this period there is nothing concrete, especially in the establishment of the Association, it will be impossible to implement the agreement during this year.

On February 29, the European Parliament approved a resolution that calls for a new approach to the dialogue process and the removal of punitive measures against Kosovo.
