The EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, reacted after the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council to vote for Blerim Isufaj as Chief Prosecutor. He wrote in a Twitter post that despite the constant calls of the European Union to ensure a fair, transparent and merit-based selection for Chief State Prosecutor, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council concluded the selection process by ignoring these principles. The Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPC) has voted unanimously today for Blerim Isufaj as the new Chief State Prosecutor. The KPC Review Commission on April 1, 2022 had reviewed the objections of four candidates for the position of Chief State Prosecutor, Armend Hamiti, Lulzim Sylejmani, Shqipdon Fazliu and Kujtim Munishi.
