The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has commented on the situation in the north of Kosovo, where the Serbs have blocked two border crossing points. Rama has said that the escalation of the situation is unreasonable, adding that Kosovo has the right and duty to implement the agreements by exercising its territorial sovereignty.

The Albanian Prime Minister spoke at a media conference with the Prime Minister of Spain, with whom he said that he also discussed Kosovo.

"Of course we talked about Kosovo, it is known that Spain has a different and traditionally unchangeable stance for reasons that are related to Spain itself and that have nothing to do with any kind of discrimination or prejudice against the community of Albanians in Kosovo and their right however, we have discussed all the more in the context of a situation that late last night had a completely unreasonable escalation, since the Government of Kosovo has the right, not only the right in fact, but also the duty to implement the agreements by exercising the territorial sovereignty that it originates from an independence in the administration of the state", said Rama.
