Kosovo Police has announced that it is continuing its activities in implementation of the operational plan that has to prevent the spread of the pandemic, respectively the implementation of decisions of the country's institutions against the spread of the pandemic. The police in a press release says that police activities in this regard have continued yesterday by police officers of all police stations in the country. In addition to open spaces (streets, squares), police officers have supervised the implementation of anti-pandemic measures in business premises, businesses, shopping malls, hotel premises (gastronomy) and have also stopped and searched public transport vehicles (buses). In most of the above activities, police officers have performed these activities in cooperation and coordination with competent inspectors. The police, in addition to reprimands given to individuals and legal entities, based on the Anti-COVID Law has imposed fines for violators of this law who also face the decisions of institutions that are in place to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Thus, yesterday 393 fines were imposed at the national level, most of them were imposed in the region of Ferizaj, Prishtina and Prizren. Given that the pandemic is present among us, given the situation in the region and given the arrival of the end-of-year holidays of compatriots, keeping in mind the measures that are in force, the police appeal to all citizens to respect these measures, to keep the number of infected people low, to protect health and at the same time to avoid fines", it is said in the communiqué.
