Today in Stockholm, the Agreement on the Elimination of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion was signed. From the Kosovo side, the agreement was signed by Kosovo's Ambassador to Sweden, Shkendije Geci-Sherifi. In the framework of meeting the requirements of the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union, the Republic of Kosovo, respectively the Ministry of Finance has made serious efforts in initiating and signing agreements for the elimination of double taxation with some countries, especially with EU members. To date, Kosovo has signed 17 Double Taxation Elimination Agreements, 15 of which have already entered into force.
