The Democratic Party of Kosovo's candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, has pledged to increase salaries by 50 percent in the public sector and basic pensions by 70 percent.
At an electoral rally in Drenas, he underlined the need to strengthen the alliance with the US and European Union countries.
“We will revitalize the economy. We will strengthen the alliance with the United States of America and the countries of the European Union....We will increase salaries by 50 percent in the public sector, we will increase basic pensions by 70 percent. Categories from the war will not only receive higher pensions, but will have the right to work and receive pensions,” said Hamza.
Hamza pledged that under his government, support for the Drenas municipality will be restored.
