Citizens of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo have started to receive their electricity bills since last week. The company "Elektrosever", which is licensed for the supply and billing of electricity in municipalities with a Serbian majority, is distributing these bills, while citizens will be billed a flat rate of 21 euros and 60 cents for the first six months of this year.

Some citizens interviewed by KosovaPress have complained about the high price of these bills, but most of them have admitted that the price is normal, but that they do not know how they will do it during the winter months, when they have to pay more.

Milisav Dimitrijevic, a citizen from the north of Mitrovica, says that he has paid the electricity bill.

According to him, the price of 21 euros is high, considering the small pension.

Vesna, another citizen of this part of Mitrovica, points out that this price is not expensive for now, but as she points out, "I don't know what I will do when the 200 euro bill has to be paid".

On the other hand, Radomir Milliq, an old resident of Mitrovica, says that he has not yet received the bill, but emphasizes that he will pay it when he receives the bill.

KosovaPress has tried several times to get a statement from the director of the company "Elektrosever" in the north of Mitrovica, but he has never been to his office.

This is the first time that after 24 years the citizens of these municipalities are being billed for the energy spent, since this municipality until 2017 it had become a burden to the citizens of other municipalities of the country.
