​A tense night in the north, explosions and gunfire are heard in several locations

The overall security situation in the north of the country last night was tense.

Two powerful explosions, one around 1:30 a.m. and the other at 3:00 a.m., were heard near Zveçan, while in the direction of Zubin Potok there were also gunshots, KosovaPress sources inform.

It is not known whether there were any injuries or material damage, or who was the target of these explosions and gunshots.

According to these sources, the barricades were reinforced during the night with heavy machinery, especially in the villages of Socanica and Rudare, while tents were also placed for the citizens who are staying at the barricades.

The sources have further added that there are many unknown and armed persons at the barricades who entered from Serbia, while masked persons are attack all those who try to film or photograph them, including the Albanians journalists.

The KosovaPress team was also hindered today around 5:00 in the morning near Rudare by these people, who as soon as they noticed the presence of the journalists started following them, cursing them and throwing stones at their vehicle.

Members of the Kosovo Police continue to be present in the residential neighborhoods with a mixed population in the north, maintaining peace and public order, as well as providing security for all residents in the north.
