The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today received the credentials from the new ambassador of Portugal in Kosovo, Jorge Ayres Roza De Oliveira.

After welcoming the new Portuguese ambassador, Osmani emphasized that the relations between the two countries are very good and expressed the belief that the positive developments in the bilateral relations between Kosovo and Portugal will continue during the mandate of Ambassador De Oliveira. said in a press release.

According to Osmani, it is necessary to make political decisions during the Czech Presidency and that the entry into force of visa liberalization should not remain hostage to any technicalities.

As for the membership in the Council of Europe, it is known that Osmani emphasized that the membership in this organization is in function of strengthening the freedoms and human rights.

Osmani and Ambassador De Oliveira also discussed the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in specific areas, such as foreign policy, defense, education, tourism and other spheres of common interest.
