The Central Election Commission (CEC) has completed the counting of all votes for the early parliamentary elections held on December 28, in which the Vetëvendosje Movement emerged as the winner with 51.11 percent of the votes.
CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi stated that the institution is now ready to announce the final results of the December 28 elections.
Meanwhile, at 02:00 today, the counting of the final batch of postal votes from abroad was completed at the Counti and Results Center.
The entire vote-counting process for the December 28 early elections was completed within 12 days, which, according to CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi, demonstrates the Commission’s speed and efficiency in completing this process.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has filed a complaint with the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel, seeking the annulment of thousands of diaspora votes that arrived in Kosovo by mail.
According to preliminary results of the December 28 early parliamentary elections, Vetëvendosje won 51.11 percent of the votes, the Democratic Party of Kosovo came second with 20.19 percent, the Democratic League of Kosovo won 13.23 percent, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo received 5.50 percent of the votes. /B.
