U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a 35 percent tariff on imports from Serbia and a 30 percent tariff on those from Bosnia and Herzegovina. These are expected to take effect on August 1, 2025.
Tariffs for other countries will also come into force starting from that date.
Trump emphasized that he will raise the tariffs further if countries respond with additional tariffs on imports from the United States.
In this regard, Trump has sent letters to the heads of state, stating that the current tariff rate is significantly lower than what is needed to eliminate the trade deficit.
The U.S. President said that the United States has agreed to continue trade cooperation with the respective country despite the significant trade deficit it has with that country.
Earlier in April, Trump imposed a 10% tariff on imports from Kosovo. /KosovaPress
