The Kosovo-Serbia dialogue has entered a new deadlock, political analysts consider. The lack of readiness to implement the basic Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex, according to them, is a sign that the dialogue will not progress this year either, especially when the new elections in the European Union will be held in June. On the other hand, from the opposition parties, they say that Kosovo has only regressed in the dialogue until now, while they criticize the executive for the lack of transparency in this process.
The MP of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Rrezarta Krasniqi, tells KosovaPress that she does not expect anything concrete in the dialogue this year, while adding that Kosovo is being conditioned in its integration process in the EU with the dialogue with Serbia.
On the other hand, the political analyst, Artan Muhaxheri, says that more damage will be caused to Kosovo by any blockade in the dialogue.
According to him, the future of the dialogue will depend on the political leaders in Kosovo and Serbia, but according to him, their political future will also depend on the dialogue.
He added that Prime Minister Kurti’s request to separate the integration process of Kosovo in the European Union from the dialogue is an unrealistic request.
During this week, Kurti announced that the dialogue is currently taking place at the level of the discussions of the Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi with the representative of the EU for dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, on what the next steps will be.
