The incumbent Minister of Justice, Selim Selimi, says that the year 2020 has been very successful for the ministry he leads. Drafting vetting modalities, launching the third phase of the functional review of the rule of law sector, and the Commercial Court, are some of the successes he mentions. Selimi in an interview for KosovaPress says that despite the pandemic, the ministry he leads has managed to make progress in many areas within its scope.
During the last year, he says that they have been engaged in implementing the strategic priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in the field of justice and in the realization of objectives, programs and sectoral projects as part of its strategic documents. He also says that they worked on substantial changes in the legislation in the justice sector, reviewing and drafting draft codes, draft laws, concept documents and other bylaws.
