The USAID Assistant Administrator, Erin E. McKee, has said that the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, with mutual recognition at the center, is the best way to help Kosovo on its way to European and Euro-Atlantic integration. She was received at the meeting by the president of the country, Vjosa Osmani, who, among other things, requested support from USAID in the fight against gender-based violence.
After the meeting with Osmani, McKee said that USAID will work on creating a good environment for young people in the Western Balkans.
President Osmani recalled USAID’s contribution by investing billions of dollars to strengthen Kosovo’s institutions, democratize the country and build a stable and inclusive economy.
