The leader of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, has called on the citizens of Kosovo to exercise their right to vote.
After voting at the Faculty of Law in Pristina, Kurti said that the higher the voter turnout, the greater the legitimacy of institutions and the stronger their stability.
He urged citizens to verify their polling station and go out to vote.
“Today is a beautiful and important day, a sunny Sunday. Before coming here, I checked on the CEC website to confirm that my polling station is still the same as in the previous election. Once that was confirmed, I came here. Therefore, I suggest all citizens of the Republic to first check their polling station, and once they confirm it, to head out on this very important day for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo,” Kurti said.
He also expressed hope that parliamentary elections would not be held again soon.
“The higher the voter turnout, the greater the legitimacy of institutions and the stronger their stability. Today, those who vote decide, which is why I call on citizens to exercise their democratic right and choose the composition of the new Assembly of the Republic in its 11th legislature. I hope that for parliamentary elections we will meet again here in four years,” Kurti said.
