The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has announced that its teams have found the body of the person reported missing in the area of Lake Batllava.
According to the statement, following a request from the Government of Kosovo’s Situation Center and coordination with the relevant institutions, KSF Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari ordered the deployment of Water Search and Rescue teams to carry out the humanitarian operation.
Immediately after receiving the order, KSF teams were deployed in the field, coordinating with local and international partners to locate the missing person.
“Thanks to the high intensity of the search and the professionalism of our teams in the field, after several hours of searching, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, the Emergency Management Agency (EMA), and KFOR, the body was found in the area of Lake Ujman,” the KSF said in its statement.
Following the evacuation, the victim’s body was handed over to the Kosovo Police and the forensic team, who will continue with the legally prescribed procedures.
