Kosovo Customs stops a case of smuggling involving cosmetic products

Kosovo Customs’ operational units, during an action on the Prishtina–Ferizaj highway, managed to identify and stop a suspicious vehicle used for the illegal distribution of smuggled goods.

According to the announcement, during the vehicle inspection, customs officers found around 100 packages of Botox and Filler products without origin or accompanying documentation, with a total value of 9,479.49 euros.

Preliminary investigations indicate that these products were brought into Kosovo through illegal routes, avoiding customs control and not meeting the required storage conditions for this type of product.

Kosovo Customs further stated that due to the sensitive nature of these products, their use poses a direct risk to the health of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, as they are untested, lack legal certification, and have been stored under inappropriate conditions.

Kosovo Customs will continue investigative procedures in cooperation with relevant institutions and urges citizens to avoid purchasing such unsafe products and to report any suspicious activity related to smuggling and illegal trade.
