At the next meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Draft Law on the ratification of agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030 was approved.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, stated that the purpose of the agreements between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania is to ensure the successful organization of the Mediterranean Games Prishtina 2030.

In his remarks, Kurti emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries for the realization of this major project.

“The purpose of this agreement is to ensure the successful organization of the Mediterranean Games through a clear framework of cooperation between the two countries, where Kosovo acts as the host country, while Albania takes on the role of partner for organizing the sailing discipline in Durrës. Through this cooperation, the full implementation of obligations arising from the host city contract and the relevant international documents is ensured. This project represents an important opportunity to raise Kosovo’s international profile and to develop sport and the economy. At its core, it is a strategic initiative that strengthens cooperation between the two countries and promotes Kosovo in the international arena,” Kurti said.
