Albin Tahiri and Kiana Kryeziu will represent Kosovo at the 24th Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Both alpine skiers have met Olympic norms in the qualifying cycle, which closed on Sunday. Tahiri, 32, has won four Olympic norms in the disciplines of slalom, grand slalom, alpine combination and ski jumping. Kryeziu, 17, has qualified in the slalom discipline. Kiana has become the first female athlete to represent our country in the Winter Olympics.
The Kosovo Olympic team has debuted at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, with the only athlete, Albin Tahiri, who had competed in five alpine skiing disciplines. Kosovo is among the 90 countries participating in the Beijing Olympics, which will be held in Beijing, China from February 4 to 20, 2021.
