Mayor of Pristina Përparim Rama, has announced the return of the cable car in Gërmia, describing it as a project aimed not only at reviving a former symbol, but also at creating new opportunities for recreation and sports for citizens.
According to him, the restoration of the ski lift represents a sense of nostalgia for many citizens, while for younger generations it will provide a new space for sporting and recreational activities. He stressed that Gërmia has always been one of the most important areas of the city, with great potential for development.
Rama said that in an expanded meeting with representatives of the sports community, recreational organizations, and relevant institutions, concrete steps for the implementation of the project were discussed, which is now taking on a clearer development shape.
He added that, since Gërmia is a protected area, all actions will be carried out in accordance with environmental standards and current legislation, in close coordination with central institutions to ensure the necessary legal and technical basis.
According to Rama, this project is expected to bring significant development to the capital in the future.
