The Fire Brigade in the Municipality of Prizren for the first seven months of this year has intervened in 357 different cases. Among them, mountain fires have been the most challenging, while the most frequent interventions have occurred in traffic accidents. And the biggest problem during the interventions remains the narrow streets of the city.
The leader of the shift in the Fire Brigade in the Municipality of Prizren, Fejzullah Berisha, says that the biggest problem during the performance of the task is at the entrance of the city, from the Suhareka side, as well as at the exit of Prizren from Has.
“”We cover the part of Zhupa, Vrrin, Has and Anadrinia. So far, we mostly have interventions in traffic accidents. Prizren, unlike other cities, has narrow roads. We often have obstacles during movement, despite what the citizens they are doing their best to open the roads for us, we are still encountering problems, especially at the entrance to the city from the side of Suhareka, at the exit of Prizren from the side for Has, and we are having problems on the road in the direction of Zhuri”,he says.
Furthermore, Berisha says that some of the stations of this municipality are ready for interventions, but staff is needed.
