Kosovo’s judokas begin their campaign today at the Senior European Championships taking place in Tbilisi, where Kosovo is represented by six competitors and aims to continue its medal-winning tradition. The championship runs from April 16 to 19 and brings together around 400 judokas from 46 European countries.
On the first day of competition, three Kosovo judokas will take to the tatami: Erza Muminoviq in the -48 kg category, as well as Distria Krasniqi and Fatjona Kasapi in the -52 kg category. These categories are part of the opening day program, immediately putting Kosovo in the spotlight.
Distria Krasniqi enters the championship as one of the strongest names on the Kosovo team, with extensive experience on the European stage, while Muminoviq and Kasapi aim to take a major step toward their first medals at this level. Meanwhile, the rest of the Kosovo team will compete in the coming days, with the goal of continuing Kosovo’s long streak of medals at the European Championships.
