Establishing the Government, Kurti: We have started official meetings – here’s what he ‘recommends’ for the court fine

Leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, says he has started consultations with minority communities for the establishment of the new government.

He stated on Wednesday that he had met with the chairwoman of the New Democratic Party (NDS) from the Bosniak community, Emilija Rexhepi, and the chairman of the Party for Freedom, Justice, and Survival from the Serb community, Nenad Rashiq.

Kurti announced that he would soon hold meetings with other political representatives but did not specify whether this would include any of the Albanian parties that secured seats in the Assembly.

Kurti, who is also the acting Prime Minister, did not comment on why he was holding these meetings at the Prime Minister’s Office instead of his party’s office.

Asked about the fine imposed by the Court of Pristina, amounting to 250 euros for failing to appear at the Special Prosecutor’s Office (PSRK) to testify regarding the state reserves case, Kurti sarcastically said that he is sometimes fined, but suggested that journalists should not be bothered by such things.

Kurti made these comments after the inauguration of the daycare center in the “Rezine” neighborhood of Gjakova. He said that during the four-year mandate, investments in daycare centers have reached over 35 million euros.
