The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP/PZAP) has once again sanctioned the Serb List, imposing a fine of 30,000 euros for violations of the Code of Conduct during the election campaign, as reported by KosovaPress.
The sanction by the ECAP followed a complaint filed by the party “Kosovski Savez” against the Serb List, which the panel assessed as being supported by clear and convincing evidence.
The ECAP found that the Serb List acted in violation of campaign rules and obligations toward candidates by placing promotional materials in public spaces in northern Kosovo, mainly in Leposaviq.
As a result, the political entity was fined 30,000 euros and ordered to immediately remove all posters and election materials related to the violation.
The ECAP reiterated that respect for the Code of Conduct is essential to ensuring a fair and honest electoral process.
The Serb List had been sanctioned previously as well, with a fine of 22,000 euros: 20,000 euros for violations reported to the ECAP by the same political entity, “Kosovski Savez,” and 2,000 euros for violations reported to the ECAP by the political movement Vetëvendosje.
