The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj has requested detention for the former mayor of Shterpca and nine other people who were arrested in connection with the constructions in Brezovica.
“The Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj, Department of Serious Crimes, has requested from the Basic Court in Ferizaj to impose detention on defendants B.N., D.R., D.M., H.B., S.M., R.B., R.H., B.I., S.S., and J.K., who by decision of the State Prosecutor are under the measure of detention for 48 hours. According to the request of the Prosecution, there is a reasonable suspicion that the defendant B.N., from 2014 to October 2018, in Shterpca, as an official – Mayor of Shterpca, received money and gifts directly, in order to act contrary to his official duties for issuing construction permits in the National Park ‘Sharri’, in the third and second zone of the weekend area in Brezovica, by this he committed the criminal offense ‘Taking bribes’ from article 428 par.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK). The same according to the Prosecution, has abused his official duty, in order to gain material benefit for himself, to issue construction permits in the National Park ‘Sharri’, in the third and second zone in the weekend area in Brezovica, with this he would commit the criminal offense ‘Abuse of official position or authority’ from article 422 par.1 of the CCRK”, it is stated in the press release of the Basic Prosecution in Ferizaj…
