Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has not revealed who was interviewed by prosecutors in the Prime Minister’s Office. She has insisted that this answer be given by the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution Office, Blerim Isufaj.
At the press conference after the Government meeting, Haxhiu considered the journalists’ insistence on receiving this answer unfair.
“I don’t think it’s right that you’re asking me for an answer that you should get from the Chief Prosecutor, Blerim Isufaj. Blerim Isufaj knows it very well, although at the press conference he said he has no information. Blerim Isufaj knows very well which of the prosecutors has gone to the office of the former prime ministers, but he doesn’t talk about it. Therefore, please, as journalists, I ask you to insist on getting the answers from the Chief Prosecutor, Blerim Isufaj.
I think this is not correct and fair to me, to insist on getting an answer from me, because you can’t get it from Blerim Isufaj. Blerim Isufaj knows, those prosecutors, some of them are there, some are not, because they were threatened and forced to leave Kosovo… If Ramush Haradinaj has spoken, and Besnik Tahiri has reacted without me mentioning specific names, then this tells you the answer,” said Haxhiu.
