Tromp on the injustices of the Special Court: Justice delayed is justice denied

Balkans affairs expert and lecturer at the University of Amsterdam, Nevenka Tromp, speaking before thousands of citizens protesting the injustices of the Special Court in The Hague, said that, justice delayed is justice denied.

Commenting on the trial of the former KLA leaders, the former Hague Tribunal investigator emphasized that the court and legal professionals must act impartially and professionally.

According to her, if justice is applied selectively or symbolically, it risks being perceived as injustice, reports KosovaPress.

In her speech, Tromp explained why the Special Court was established and why today’s protest is justified. She stressed that even after five years since the former KLA leaders voluntarily surrendered to the Special Court, they are still in detention, with no verdict in sight.

She told the citizens that the leaders of Kosovo established the Special Court because they believed in justice and in the just cause of the KLA’s war.
