The Chief Executive Officer of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, Kushtrim Hodaj, says that they are conducting investigations into the organization of police resignations in the north. He informs that all resignations have already been approved by the Kosovo Police, due to the passing of the 30-day deadline. Hodaj has warned the initiation of procedures against former officials, as not all of them have handed over the equipment.
In the interview for KosovaPress, Hodaj emphasizes that there was also pressure on Serbian police officers to resign.
“The process of resignation or approval of resignation is an administrative process that takes place within the Kosovo Police. However, we have conducted investigations and are conducting investigations regarding those responsible who organized the resignations and pressure in some cases on police officials to be forced to resign. After all the deadlines for the approval of the resignation have passed since the moment the resignation is announced. Of course, the Police has informed us that all resignations have already been approved due to the passing of the 30-day deadline, and now most of them are no longer formally part of the Kosovo Police”, says Hodaj.
