The chief negotiator of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, spoke to the media in Brussels today after the meeting with the Serbian core with the mediation of the European Union, where the topic of discussion was the solution to the problem of using the dinar.
Bislimi said that the Serbian side does not care about its citizens and that it has not shown the will to reach a compromise. He hopes that such a thing will be achieved in two weeks, otherwise it will be the Serbian side that will remain guilty of blocking the finding of a solution.
The EU emissary for the dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, after the meeting with the negotiating teams of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels, has emphasized that it was discussed to find a temporary solution for the people affected by the CBK regulation which bans the dinar.
“We managed to bridge some gaps between the proposals of the two Parties. I plan to continue our discussions soon based on the EU’s ideas for compromise.” he wrote in X.
