The Chamber of Trade and Industry Kosova (CTIK) has received a ruling from the Department for Administrative Affairs of the Basic Court in Prishtina, rejecting its request for a security measure against the administrative act – the public announcement of ERO dated 12.03.2025.
“CTIK submitted sufficient evidence proving violations committed by ERO. However, our commitment does not stop here”, the statement reads.
According to the announcement, in addition to the request for a temporary measure, the Chamber has also filed a lawsuit against ERO, which has not yet been reviewed by the court.
“The Chamber will soon present new measures to support its member businesses in filing lawsuits against ERO with the Commercial Court, which so far has received numerous lawsuits and has already issued initial rulings confirming that ERO has committed violations”, the statement reads.
The Chamber of Trade and Industry Kosova firmly stands by its position that the liberalization process has been accompanied by a series of procedural and substantial violations, which have also been identified by European institutions.
Kosovo businesses had organized protests against ERO’s decision, as according to business representatives such an action would create a burdened economy in Kosovo.
KosovaPress has also obtained a ruling issued by the Commercial Court of Kosovo, Department for Administrative Affairs, on June 25, 2025, regarding the annulment of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO)’s notice for entry into the free energy market.
The complaint to the court was filed by lawyer Agron Selimaj from Prishtina
