According to “20min.ch”, former coach of FC Zurich, Andre Breitenreiter is a serious candidate for the position of coach of the Kosovo National Team.
While there are speculations that there is an agreement between Breitenreiter and the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), it is said that serious talks have taken place between the two parties, reports KosovaPress.
It is possible that a meeting will be held between Breitenreiter and FFK in the coming days.
The former coach of several German teams is said to be a serious candidate to replace the Slovenian Primoz Gliha, who was in charge of “Dardanët” as a temporary coach since September.
Breitenreiter has been out of work since February, when he was dismissed by German club Hoffenheim.
Breitenreiter has managed well-known teams such as Paderborn, Hannover, Schalke and Hoffenheim, while in the summer of 2021 he took over as coach of Zurich, with whom he also won the Swiss Super League title.
Breitenreiter already knows some of the names of the Kosovo National Team, including Fidan Ali and Mirlind Kryeziu, who were part of his team in Zurich.
