Indictment against two defendants for abduction in Peja

The Basic Prosecution in Peja has raised an indictment against the defendants, A.K. and B.S., for the criminal offense of “Abduction,” KosovaPress reports.

According to the indictment, the two defendants, in collaboration, on December 17, 2024, around 10:00 AM, on “Zahir Pajziti” street in Peja, under the threat of murder or causing serious bodily harm, took the victim, D.K., with the intent not to release him until they received the money, specifically until the victim’s brother, K.K., who owed 1,500 euros to defendant A.K. and 2,000 euros to defendant B.S., paid them back.

The indictment states that on the critical day, they ordered the victim to enter their vehicle and headed toward Pristina, directing the victim with the words: “Now, by six o’clock, your father will pay the money, or we’ll take you to Shala of Bajgora, and we know what we’ll do with you.”

However, the victim, D.K., managed to inform his friend, telling him that he had been abducted. After cooperation between the police in Peja and those in Podujeva, the defendants were located in the village of Lupc in the Municipality of Podujeva and arrested.

According to the Prosecution, with these actions, “there is a well-founded suspicion that the defendants have fulfilled the elements of the criminal offense described above.” The prosecutor, upon filing the indictment, has proposed to the court that the defendants be found guilty and sentenced according to the law for the criminal offense charged against them.
