Starting from August 1, no citizen of Kosovo will be able to obtain civil status certificates—whether through municipal offices or the E-Kosova platform—without having declared their official address, as reported by KosovaPress.
According to the Civil Registration Agency (ARC), citizens are legally obligated to declare their address. However, many are still unaware of this restriction.
For those who do not have an assigned address number at their residence, it is necessary to contact the Kosovo Cadastral Agency to follow the required steps and explore alternative options.
The Director of ARC, Blerim Camaj, emphasized that starting tomorrow (August 1), any citizen wishing to obtain a civil status certificate must first complete and submit a form before receiving the document. This procedure also applies to requests made via the E-Kosova platform.
He stated that many citizens have yet to declare their official address, even though over 250,000 people have already fulfilled this obligation.
