The spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, has reacted to the closure of nine branches of the Post of Serbia.
Stano said that they are seeing more uncoordinated and unilateral actions from the Kurti Government.
According to the spokesperson Peter Stano, this action in the north is against the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, while he added that such actions could lead to new tensions between the two countries.
The closure of nine branches of the Post of Serbia in the north was seen as a unilateral step even by diplomats.
The American government has expressed its disappointment with the “unilateral, uncoordinated actions taken by the Government of Kosovo towards the Serbian post offices in the north of Kosovo”.
The Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, said that the unilateral and uncoordinated steps not only contradict the dialogue agreements, but risk that Kosovo’s application for membership in the EU will remain in the “inbox”.
