The Mayor of Prishtina, Përparim Rama, has stated that he has no ambitions for other positions and that his focus remains on the capital city. When asked whether he would assume the party leadership if Lumir Abdixhiku becomes president, Rama said that his four-year mandate is dedicated to serving the citizens of Prishtina.
Përparim Rama emphasized that his focus remains on the capital, although he said he is ready to help whenever needed.
“I have addressed this issue before: I am the mayor of the capital with a four-year mandate, and we have wonderful people within the party who can advance processes, so I don’t think they need me. However, I say that I am here for the capital, for the citizens of the capital, and I will be there to help in any way needed. But my focus is the capital,” he said. Rama reiterated that his commitment remains focused on leading Prishtina and fulfilling his mandate to the citizens.
