In the vineyards along the Sarandapor valley in Leskovik, grapes are being harvested for wine and liqour production. “Pasha’s Vineyard” is a well-known area, which has been cultivating vineyards for centuries, which is made possible by the mineral composition of the soil, geographical terrain and micro-climate. The wines of this winery from Albania have been enjoyed by many visitors from around the world, who participated in the Tirana International Fair.
Producer Albert Gajo talks about the work they have been doing for five years now in cultivating and preserving the tradition of grape production.
“It is one of the most famous areas of Albania in terms of the tradition of grape production and vineyards. It is Leskovik because it is one of the areas that has traditionally had considerable vineyards. People have been cultivating vineyards for years, for centuries, because the geographical terrain, the mineral composition of the soil and the micro-climate are perfect for the production of grape vineyards,” he said.
Near the stand on the second floor of the Palace of Congresses, for four days in a row have been exhibited the different types of liqour and wines produced by this canteen.
“It is important because you deal directly with customers that you have not selected yourself and that are different customers who have a kind of experience in terms of tasting Albanian wines and products. This is even more important for us, not so much to create an opportunity to sell, but it is for the brand “Pasha’s Vineyards” to be known to Albanian customers, but also to those in the region”, he emphasizes.
The winery “Pasha’s Vineyards”, for six years now produces the best drinks from the south-east of Albania.
“It has been five or six years since we started operating on the basis of an investment we have made in the south-east of Albania, in Leskovik. And at its base we built a winery, which we have given the special name “Pasha’s Vineyards”, to create the opportunity to preserve the progress of the Albanian tradition for the production of grapes and wine products and liqour … The wines of produced in the last two-three years, because the winery is also new. So, we do not make many differences in terms of age, quality, because the moment we package them in bottles, we have tried to maintain the best standard of wine quality,” he concludes.
Over 200 companies from six Western Balkan countries and other countries have participated in the International Business Fair since Wednesday. This is the 27th edition and is organized by Klik Ekspo Group.
KosovaPress News Agency and the Albanian Telegraphic Agency are the media sponsor of this fair. Both of them with their stands are participants in the International Business Fair.
