The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has said that Kosovo will protect its borders at all costs and in every corner of the country’s territory. The head of state in her address at the Assembly of Kosovo, said that Kosovo will not break by Serbia’s hegemonic goals for the annexation of the north. Osmani emphasized that Serbia’s aggression against Kosovo on September 24 in Banjska proves that today’s policy of the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, is yesterday’s policy of the former butcher of the Balkans, Milosevic. Although the two opposition parties, PDK and AAK, boycotted Osmani’s speech, she said that there should not be party or ideological divisions, but there should be unity without distinction.
Osmani, in front of the MP of the majority and those of the Democratic League of Kosovo, also mentioned the challenges in the dialogue with Serbia, where she demanded a greater balance from the mediators of the dialogue and the removal of measures against Kosovo. In relation to this, President Osmani underlined that the draft statute of the Association, which was submitted to Kosovo by the Euro-American diplomats, must be in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo.
Osmani said that in relation to Serbia’s aggression against Kosovo on September 24, the people of Kosovo and its representatives knew how to unite around the cause of the defense of our state built with so many sacrifices.
In the session where the diplomatic corps in Kosovo were also present, Osmani criticized the European Union for its one-sided approach to dialogue.
On the other hand, Osmani called for the creation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, all, without party differences, to unite to form it in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, and not to have executive powers.
She said that despite the statements of European and American diplomats that the draft is in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo, only the Constitutional Court should make such an assessment.
Speaking about Kosovo’s international empowerment, Osmani said that NATO membership should be the country’s number one priority.
Likewise, Osmani called for the unification of Albanians in foreign policy and greater coordination with Albania. /KosovaPress/
