The Special Presidential Envoy for Special Missions of United States, Richard Grenell, has criticized the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, for allegedly manipulating the words of President Donald Trump.
Osmani recently confirmed that a Serbian attack on Kosovo had been prevented, prompting Grenell to respond to this statement via the social media platform “X,” reports KosovaPress.
“Shame on Vjosa Osmani for manipulating President Donald Trump’s words. Donald Trump was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on Kosovo-Serbia peace and economic normalization in 2019 and 2020 – through the Trump White House signing of the Washington Agreement in the Oval Office. Osmani wasn’t a part of that deal. And pretending like there was something new is absurd”, Grenell wrote.
In response to Grenell’s statement, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani is expected to hold a press conference upon her return from the United States.
This was confirmed for KosovaPress by the President’s media advisor, Bekim Kupina.
“As soon as President Osmani returns to Kosovo, she will hold a press conference regarding this matter,” Kupina said. /KosovaPress
