The Minister of Education, Arbërie Nagavci, at the launch of the voucher scheme within the project “Support for the participation of vulnerable children in care and early childhood services” said that this scheme will help families who are part of social assistance scheme.
Nagavci said that the project for the early education of children helps in their development in the future, but also helps families, parents and society in its development.
She emphasized that there are 4 thousand 469 children aged 3-5 from families that receive social assistance and 104 of them attend public preschool education, while from the age of 0-3 years, out of 4,788, only 31 children attend early childhood education.
Meanwhile, the manager of the World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo and for North Macedonia, Massimiliano Paolucci added that these vouchers will help families access childcare services.
However, the chairman of the Commission for Education, Ardian Gola, said that such an investment also affects society itself and our future.
This early childhood education project is in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health and UNICEF, which is financed by the World Bank’s Early Learning Partnership. /A. Shala/
