The Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, considers that the previous way in which students were supplied with books every year has had negative effects, despite the noble purpose it may have had.
According to him, with the printing of books every year and their distribution to students, it has affected the quality aspect and the budget expenses.
In today’s plenary session of the Assembly of Kosovo, Minister Murati evaluated the purchase of books by the parents themselves as the best method because according to him the texts are chosen more carefully in terms of quality and can be preserved for several years to be used by other generations.
During the plenary session, in which the formation of the Parliamentary Investigative Committee for the process of subsidizing the purchase of textbooks and teaching aids for students is being discussed, Murati emphasized that the time when parents bought textbooks for their children themselves, although it was imposed as a mechanism, it had positive effects.
