The Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, stated that the measures of the European Union (EU) towards Kosovo contradict the efforts of the region for integration. According to him, Kosovo has met all EU requirements, for which he added that the measures should be removed. This is what the chief executive expressed at the meeting of the Ministerial Council for European Integration where the key reforms of the national program for European integration were highlighted. He said that more than 70 percent of the reforms planned with the European Commission have been implemented.
Prime Minister Kurti declared that Kosovo is ready not only to receive the status of a candidate country for membership in the EU, but also to open negotiations and the many chapters towards membership.
Regarding the National Program for European Integration, Kurti added that the level of implementation is about 2/3 in 2023.
Further, he also mentioned the measures from the European Union, for which he emphasized that they should be removed.
In front of the government cabinet and representatives of independent institutions, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi emphasized that the National European Integration Program is a strategic document.
By the end of June, Bislimi added that more than 50 measures are expected to be implemented. /Sh. Pajaziti
