The EANA photo exhibition was shown on Monday, where 32 images from 32 agencies were published.
EANA has organized the photo exhibition titled “Image Authenticity in the Age of AI – 32 Best Photos from 32 EANA news agencies”, during the highly anticipated CEPIC 2024 Congress.
The exhibition showcased the outstanding work of EANA member news agencies, in a mix of one photo per agency, highlighting journalistic quality and compelling storytelling.
“Promoting the quality of news agencies is one of the goals of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), and doing so through powerful authentic press photography is one of the best ways to get it in front of an audience. In this way, the public experiences firsthand what real journalism means and the impact of the images exhibited is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. I was happy to see a large and diverse crowd made up of technology and image specialists admiring the images chosen by our 32 members, the leading news agencies in Europe”, said Alexandru Giboi, Secretary General of EANA.

The partnership with CEPIC also allowed EANA to organize a panel discussion during the CEPIC Congress. The panel discussion focused on news authenticity and the importance of reliable journalism for today’s society, was moderated by Alexandru Giboi and featured a diverse and highly experienced selection of speakers: Stefano de Alessandri, CEO of ANSA (Italy), Magdalena Konig, General Counsel for AIQ (United Arab Emirates) and Matthew Hibberd, the new Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, Communication, Society and Culture of the Università della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland).
This is the first time that Kosovapress participates in such exhibitions
The graduation photo of the 59th generation of the Kosovo Police was published in this exhibition.
After years of lobbying, KosovaPress managed to become a member of the European network of News Agencies representing Kosovo. (https://www.newsalliance.org/members/)
Earlier in 2017, it also became a member of Balkan News Agencies (https://abnase.com) and for three years it is part of the board, and in 2021-2022 it also took the presidency.
Kosovapress is continuously signing cooperation agreements with news agencies of the Balkans, Europe and beyond, offering the media news from these countries. In February of this year, on the 25th anniversary of the foundation, a European conference on the topic of Freedom of Speech Borders was organized in Pristina.
