Journalist Marin Mema declared Honorary Citizen of Deçan

Albanian journalist Marin Mema was honored on Wednesday, July 30, with the title “Honorary Citizen of Deçan” in a solemn ceremony held at the Municipal Assembly of this municipality. The Chair of the Municipal Assembly of Deçan, Hajdar Sutaj, expressed the municipality’s deep gratitude for Mema’s tireless work, highlighting in particular the documentary he produced about the Deçan Monastery.

The Mayor of Deçan, Bashkim Ramosaj, said that Marin Mema is an example of how an Albanian should be.

In his address, the Ambassador of Albania, Petrit Malaj, stated that he was very pleased with the municipality’s decision to honor the investigative journalist with such a title, emphasizing that Mema has always been in service of the people.

Meanwhile, the chairman of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, said that the decision to award the highest honorary title given by the Municipality of Deçan was very appropriate.

After receiving the title, Mema addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of unity among Albanians.

Marin Mema, born on March 22, 1981, in Tirana, is an Albanian journalist. He works for Top Channel television and the newspaper Shqip. He is the author and producer of the highly popular documentary series ‘Gjurmë Shqiptare’ (Albanian Traces). /Rr. Ukimeraj
